About Me
I'm Jill Mastroianni—daughter, sister, mother, wife and former trusts and estates attorney.
For more than a decade, I worked at top law firms helping high-net-worth clients navigate trusts, taxes, and complex estate plans.
But I also watched my mom decline—and ultimately die—from a degenerative disease. Afterward, I assured my older brother, who has Down syndrome, “It’s going to be okay.” And I’m still working to keep that promise. Now I’m the one helping our aging father plan for what comes next—asking the questions no one wants to say out loud.
I know firsthand that no amount of legal training prepares you for the emotional weight of planning for death—especially when you’re the one everyone else is counting on.
That’s why I started Death Readiness.
I help women juggling it all – kids, parents, careers and crises—prepare for the parts of life we’d rather avoid. Together, we face the realities of death and dying with calm focus, real-world tools, and a plan that actually works.
Whether you’re trying to get your parents’ affairs in order, supporting a sibling with special needs, drowning in paperwork after a death, or trying to protect your kids’ future—I offer grounded, compassionate guidance rooted in 12 years of legal experience and lived reality.
Together, we’ll deal with what happens when you’re the one left holding it all.
Because death readiness isn’t just about paperwork. It’s about love, loss, and showing up for the hardest moments with someone who’s been there—and knows how to help you through.
